Powerful Combo of Teaching & TestimonyI'm a big fan of Carlie Terradez's books including Miracles & Healing Made Easy and Hannah & the Beanstalk, so I was eager to read Fearless。This books combines solid Bible-based teaching with Carlie's personal stories of victorious and less-than-faith-filled battles against fear。 I connected immediately with her vulnerability and willingness to share her shortcomings。 Yet, this is not another "we're all messed up and that's ok" kind of book。 This books trace Powerful Combo of Teaching & TestimonyI'm a big fan of Carlie Terradez's books including Miracles & Healing Made Easy and Hannah & the Beanstalk, so I was eager to read Fearless。This books combines solid Bible-based teaching with Carlie's personal stories of victorious and less-than-faith-filled battles against fear。 I connected immediately with her vulnerability and willingness to share her shortcomings。 Yet, this is not another "we're all messed up and that's ok" kind of book。 This books traces fear in the Bible from the Garden on, showing how God is always on the side of faith。 His fear-busting love empowers us to live boldly and you'll finish this book filled with faith to move any mountain。The book has eight chapters (plus intro and conclusion) making it a great length for a small group study or Sunday school。 While the author is female, plenty of the stories are relatable to men and women。 The format is very digestible with frequent headings and a clean, easy-to-read layout。 And the poetic declaration at the end will stir you up and move you to tears!I recommend this book to anyone who's looking to conquer fear in their life and is open to letting God be a part of that battle。(There seem to be two versions of this book on Goodreads, so I'm pasting this review to both。) 。。。more
